I was considering this because of the talent involved, but having actually looked into the game further and reading your review it’s become apparent that I’m likely to enjoy it about as much as shaving a badger’s back passage.

I’ve always disliked RPGs, including apparent greats such as World of Warcraft, Morrowind, Oblivion, Neverwinter Nights, etc. I can’t see this being any different, even if it does have the occasional lashing of a good cutscene or bit of humour. I just can’t get by the tedium of shit, randomly generated battles which prevail in the genre. :~

Even Final Fantasy really pissed me off with such skirmishes, although the remainder of the game (#8) made up for it — just. Sounds like the Penny Arcade game lacks the constant quality/humour outside of the battles that’re needed, though.

Unless the full game is full of it, of course! Soon see with the Summer 2008 Huz update. ;

I’ve got the demo but haven’t tried it yet, I’m not hopeful after reading this. I’m still in two minds about whether to buy it. I’m not a big fan of turn based RPG’s either; I suppose it’ll all depend on how frequent and how tedious the battles are/
