I saw that Power of Nightmares thing the first time round, and I thought it was really bad. The general question "is there really that much of a threat?" is a good one and everything, we were probably far more at risk when the IRA were bombing us up a decade ago.

But the whole 'paralell' between the rise of neo-conservatives and Islamists didn't really impress me, that was just sensansionlist stuff to make everyone go "gasp! that Rumsfeld is so EVIL!". And it was a shame, because it overshadows the good points it made.

Michael Moore irritates me similarly. He makes one or two good points, but then mixes in a whole load of unnecessary crap that ruins it all. Like following around some old lady crying. Republicans are so much better at the 'emotional crap' thing, so he's always get thrashed.
